Introduction

We specialise in providing a range of outdoor and indoor plant material with a design emphasis. This includes topiary box plants and bay topiary. Also ball yew plants and clipped conifers.

We stock a range of large terracotta pots and more unusual clay pots imported from Indonesia, including sugar jars and tulip vases.

We design and make-up large pot arrangements with box and bay and other clipped plants for clients for individual requirements, particularly for patios, terraces and door entrances.

The management of the business is split into two.
A.). Outdoor plants and pot arrangements.

B.). Indoor plants and design items.
The former is largely organised by one of the partners, Mike Pennington, who is a Chartered Landscape Architect, the latter, by Eileen Pennington, the other partner who is an Art and Design specialist. Clearly there are many opportunities for combining inside and outdoor items so the two sections are interlinked.

All of the plants and objects are selected personally by the partners, mostly from dutch designers and we can obtain many interesting items not displayed in the shop or on the display areas outside.

With one of the partners a Chartered Landscape Architect, there is a lot of experience within the business for offering design advice and tailoring schemes for clients individual needs. We do not do public landscaping and specialise in a small team of qualified men undertaking private garden, interior or landscape implementation following our drawings, or a combination of exterior and interior design

Indoor items include large specimen plants mostly imported from Holland including a wide range of warm temperate and sub-tropical plants. Many of these plants are in interesting shapes and pots and are suitable for hotel reception areas, foyers, offices and restaurants, as well as for the conservatory and home.

Also in the shop are non-plant items including zinc and copper watering cans and other containers, beeswax candles and a wide range of candle holders on stands and in unusual arrangements, suitable for indoors and outdoors. Also regularly in stock are a wide range of baskets and glassware and dried flowers, all of which can combine to form unique items as part of our design service. The range of non-horticultural pieces is steadily growing and we have a fantastic range of Christmas products when the festive season arrives.
